Character name: Ultraman Zero
Source canon: Ultraman metaseries
Community tag: zero, ran
Do I want a HMD: Yes
Notes:
Background: Zero is the son of Ultraman Seven and an unknown human woman, that has lived in the Land of Light for the entirety of his life. When Zero was younger he was banished from the Land of Light by his father, whom caught him about to steal the Plasma Spark. In order to properly understand what it means to be an Ultra Warrior, Zero was trained for years in his exile by Ultraman Leo, while Ultraman King overlooked them. It wasn't until Zero threw himself into harm of Pigmon that Leo and King deemed him an Ultra Warrior and allowed him to go aid his Father and Uncles in battle. Understanding what it properly meant to use his strength to protect the weak, and not just use it selfishly for himself, he flew off to fight Ultraman Belial- an Ultraman corrupted by Reiblood who also tried to steal the Plasma Spark eons ago.
When Belial was defeated Ultraman Zero aided in battles with his family in the Land of Light and the surrounding home universe. Including the destruction of a plant creating robotic fakes of the UltraBrothers. And also fakes of Zero himself, Darklops, issued to be made by "Kaiser Belial", a namesake the evil Belial took up in his aim to take over all Universes after his initial defeat by Zero. When the Darklopses started invading the Land of Light, he helped defeat the initial wave, and was given the Ultra Bracer to go into the universe that the Darklopses had invaded from.
After landing on a mining planet when he entered the universe he saved a pair of brothers from a legionoid. One critically wounded from the attack, Zero decided to use him as a host in order to heal the older brother Ran, strong of spirit and worried for his brother Zero promised to look out for him.
Personality: Zero is cocky but not without reason, being one of the more powerful Ultras to come out of the Land of Light. While this used to be a severe weakness that almost caused him to fall to darkness and greed, he has since gained a proper understanding of himself and the univers around him. He knows he isn't invincible, but he's not going to step away from the chance to pile drive something from orbit.
That's not to say he isn't still prideful, he may in fact be pretty vain. If he doesn't live up to the image he sees for himself it starts to grate on his nerves, for example: if he cannot gain his maximum height. He also really clashes against people that have a similar personality to him, or one close to how he used to act. Yet he surrounds himselves in these individuals or teams up with them, because they can either walk the walk, or he wants to show them the error of their ways, as he was taught himself.
Like all Ultra, albeit he was shaky at first, Zero understands that protecting the innocent from harm is the M.O. He has empathy for smaller creatures and the human race, and will not stand by as injustice is done to them. What really brings his emotions forward is when someone lesser is being abused, and he'll rush in headlong to danger.
Capabilities and Resources: As if being a giant being made of light wasn't enough, he was trained by Ultraman Leo. As such he is a master of Space Judo, which he seems to improvise into wrestling moves sometimes. He may even be more talented than Leo himself, seeing as his training was disciplined with armor that restricted his movements- and yet he still matched up pretty well against his master while wearing it.
Also he can fly between universes but this is rarely useful for anything besides travel. He can possibly help others cross the border if necessary, but only if they can survive it.
Type: Combatant
Unit Name: "I already told you! Ultraman Zero!"
Unit Description: Zero is a sleek humanoid with spots of silver armor on his body. Like most Ultras he can change his size as appropriate to the situation. Though being in a fighting state for too long, or taking heavy damage, can cause his color time to tick down. The Color Timer being a jewel on all Ultras' chests that tells how long they can battle for. In most universes this is within the 1-8 minute range (though for the sake of the game I'd say it's conveniantly as long as a mission will last), and on Earth Zero needs a human host/form to reside in outside of battle so the color timer can recharge. If the Timer blinks from red to no light, Zero's life and energy starts to dwindle and could cause his death.
Zero performs various laser and beam techniques, depending on the situation necessary. He can also generate a shield, and bring forth a lance to aid in combat. The "horns" on his head called the "Zero Sluggers" are boomerang/dagger-like weapons he can throw and control to fly around, or use to aid him in melee combat. The Sluggers can combine into one large blade, the Zero Twinsword, further aiding his ability. Finally the sluggers can be placed on either side of his color timer to create a large beam canon on his chest allowing for his ultimate attack: Zero Twin Shot.
